I get a lot of email from public relations and marketing folks, hoping for a mention. Here’s my favourite recent product pitch (from several weeks ago) for “the world’s biggest LED TV.”

How big is BIG? The Sharp 90” is almost the exact size of an Olympic-sized regulation ping pong table – though we must advise you to refrain from using paddles on this beauty.

With Sharp’s family of big screens, not only will you win in the style category, you’ll take home the gold from a technical aspect as well. Whether it’s a 60, 70, 80, or even a 90-inch screen, you’ll catch all the action, from the start of the 500m to the most extreme dives on the beach volleyball court, with a Sharp big screen.

The marketing judges hereby award the gold medal for Olympic-themed marketing to Sharp’s AQUOS big screen TVs.
