9 year old Caine Monroy, who built an elaborate cardboard arcade inside his dad’s used auto parts store, is about to have the best day of his life.

Clever! This story on the NYT site about time-wasting video games comes with a built-in time-wasting video game that lets you fly around and destroy bits of the page.

I’m not sure when Battleship for iPhone went from “ok app” to “must-play addiction” for me, but somewhere along the line it became my go-to game for iPhone.

If you play “Salvo” rules, each player gets one shot per turn for each ship they have left. One game goes by very quickly, as you can see from my screen shot above. I’m an Admiral and I’ve sunk more than 1,200 ships.

I never thought I’d be telling people what a great game Battleship is, but I am. It’s a steal at 99 cents. Go get it.
