I agree that people who love the iPad are not going to warm to Microsoft Surface with Windows RT. And vice versa.

Much has already been said and written this week about the iPad mini. I can’t think of much to add to the discussion except to say that I want one, and I know a lot of other people who will want one too.
I’m already starting to see the full-sized iPad as a sort of large print edition of the iPad mini. Sure, if you have weak eyes or you need a larger screen for some specific apps, you might choose a full-sized iPad, but the iPad mini is smaller, lighter, and cheaper. What’s not to like?
I believe this new $329 option will open the wallets of many people who have, until now, ignored the iPad because it was out of their price range.

The iPad mini was expected, and the smaller MacBook Pro was no big surprise, but the redesigned iMac came out of nowhere.
