Adobe's $199 security fix 

Security Bulletin for Adobe Photoshop

First, the bad news: a security flaw in Adobe Photoshop for Windows and Macintosh might allow an attacker to take control of your computer.

Now, the good news: Adobe is aware of the problem, and has released a software update that plugs the hole.

Unfortunately, the software update is Adobe Photoshop CS6, the latest paid version of the software. If you already own Photoshop, you can make your computer secure for the low, low price of $199 US.

Either this is a mistake, or Adobe’s going to wear this for a long, long time.

Instagram made sharing pics fun again. Who cares if the pic is improperly tagged or has no geolocation info, most people just want to send it to their friends.

Clever! This story on the NYT site about time-wasting video games comes with a built-in time-wasting video game that lets you fly around and destroy bits of the page.

Retraction 

We’ve discovered that one of our most popular episodes contained numerous fabrications. This week, we detail the errors in Mike Daisey’s story about visiting Foxconn, which makes iPads and other products for Apple in China. Marketplace’s China correspondent Rob Schmitz discovered the fabrications.
